I just merged onto I-83 South off of Route 30 and felt the car shaking uncontrollably. I checked the side mirror and saw tons of smoke and the X started pulling to the right. I pulled off to the shoulder and called my insurance who sent a copy to sit behind me and a tow truck. He put the X on a rollback and we went to a shopping center parking lot to change the flat.
Sitting on the side of the road is not fun. That sucks. Glad you're OK.

I do everything. Wheels, audio, bodykits, lighting. light performance work. I have a small place in Staten Island that I do the work out of. It is not my everyday job so I do it for the enjoyment of seeing the cars I work on being appreciated at meets and shows.

Michelle, I know I'm late to the game, but sorry to hear that happened. I did warn you yesterday that I really didn't like the looks of your tires....however, I remember talking to BimmerE53 yesterday and the only thing he wished the E53 X5 had more of was cargo room. I explained that the reason the cargo space was smaller was that BMW engineer put in a full-sized spare underneath the inside of the cargo floor!

So after changing three flat tires by myself in the past in the X5, I really appreciate the design of the X5 spare tire well. The spare tire is protected from the elements unlike other SUVs which stick it on the outside of the car.

Glad you finally made it home....now that was time to have a Patron shot....

Thanks for having the GTG. Even though I had a short amount of time to be there, it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife!

BTW, as we were leaving we saw the Lambo get pulled over by the local LE.

I'll have to check the E46 Fanatics board to see what he got nailed for.. (EDIT: According to the posts on E46 he got NOTHING but a warning doing (alledgedly nearly 200MPH on 22)

Best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving !

Please post your pix
