Who else is coming to Leavenworth?

It's Wednesday night. As of this evening, the only confirmed attendees of this meet are Rearro, DipnX5, and myself. Is anyone else planning to attend? Please reply in this thread, or send me a PM so we get the details settled. It'll be Saturday morning sooner than you think.

Thanks,
Dave

1) Who has made reservations if any?
2) Does anybody have two way radios?
3) What is the address for the Starbucks we are meeting at?

I know as the "organizer" I should know more, but I just havn't found the time lately.

Cpatzer, We can exchange cell #'s to keep in contact, Jeepguy ( Dave ) and I have already done so I'll pm my info!

I have no clue where the Starbucks is at but I'm sure I'll find it. Fred Meyer is pretty big I guess I'll use that as a landmark.

I have not made reservations anywhere I thought we would just show up and watch the restaurant staff Freak out!!!

The Starbucks is in plain sight at the westerly end of the Fred Meyer parking lot on the left side of the highway as you head east into Monroe. Easy to see, and a convenient spot to meet up, regardless of which direction someone is coming in from.

No reservations have been made in Leavenworth yet, since we aren't sure how large a group we are or when we'll arrive, and there are plenty of places to eat. I recommend Gustav's (in the big onion dome building) because it's easy to get into, and there is a lot of street parking nearby. But any other suitable place would work as well.

I think staying in touch via cell would be easiest, at least till we know who is and isn't coming. I'd ask that if anyone decides to not come, please let the others know so we don't stand around waiting for you.

So is anyone else planning to attend? Post in this thread, or PM me.

Dave

Change in plans

Okay guys, I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who works in the weather department at KOMO TV. He tells me there is a SERIOUS heavy snow warning for Stevens Pass through Saturday, with the worst of it coming during the day on Saturday. He strongly advises we not try this drive this weekend, due to the weather.

Now, I don't know about you, but I'm fine in snow. It's the other lunatics driving on the same road that scare me. (Not you guys - I know you'd be fine.) But considering someone was killed on this road just yesterday, I'm hesitant right now to do this. I think we need to postpone till another weekend when the weather is better.

Let me know your thoughts.

Dave

I've PM'd you three, but the shorthand is I'm going to wait till the weekend of the 19th. I've spent too many hours sitting on Highway 2 waiting for them to do avalanche control, or plow the roads, to want to do that again tomorrow. All it takes is one accident in front of you, and you could sit for hours.

So if you guys do decide to go tomorrow, take lots of great pictures and be sure to let me know what a wimp I am.

Dave
