F32 Perfect for 100K Miles - Then!
 

The CEO's 2014 428i has been close to perfect for 104,000 miles. The last service visit though included replacing the driver's door lock actuator and inner door pull. I could accept those items as wear & tear, but two weeks later the turbo waste gate actuator broke and the thermostat failed. The thermostat was understandable, but not the cost.


The waste gate actuator worries me a bit though, especially when they said it would be worth considering replacing the entire turbo assembly at the same time. A $6500 repair is unrealistic for a car with 104,000 miles on it.
