E90 based Coupe

Would this be the 2er?

I believe, if BMW follows through with its new number scheme, it would be the 4er

Based on these photos, I like it

I read recently (in Autoweek I think) that they decided NOT to go ahead with the 4er designations and keep it as a 3 series.

I like it too!! :2thumbs:

I like it a lot, especially the back. The front is a little in-your-face, but it's something I could definitely get used to.

Correct on the number scheme per my dealer's sales manager.

I like the coupé better than the sedan. The rear lights seem a little wider and less Honda-like. Now to see it in M3 livery.

Are you guys sure this isn't the next M3? Just look at the size of those rear skins, the vent on the front fender, and the quad tail pipes... I wonder if it's got a V8 under that hood... :wow: Either way, I like it too!

Good eye on the quad exhaust. I think the M3 would be a little more dramatic than this though, or at least I'd hope it would be. I think the previous pictures of the sedan version are good representations of what it should look like.

It should be designated a 4er, but I think BMW will call it a 3 Coupe. I am very interested in the car - actually the cabrio. Rumor has it that the cabrio might come with a hard (foldable) top. X-Drive E90s will be seen this Fall and the coupe/cabrio should be seen in the spring of 2006.

Yup, BMW will continue to rule the compact, near-luxo sedans/coupes market. Nobody will touch them although I saw a spy pic of the upcoming Benz C-class and it looks quite amazing.

The side vents on the front quarter panel behind the wheel seem to hint at M3 status also. :dunno:

I looked at the 3er in Berlin last month, and again today when I picked the X up from its final warranty service ($852 not out of my pocket!)...I'm intrigued by the E90. Who knows, maybe I'll look into one... :D

Yeah - I thought the same thing - I think it's the front end - needs a more aggressive spoiler/intake...
