That's very slick! There seems to be decent room left in the trunk even after the top is stowed. I do fear what problems might come up with this first generation of E93's.

You mean the retractable steel top? BTW, how's the E90 holding up?

Yes, the top mechanism. Although that technology has been around for years now it still concerns me. Nothing major but more stuff like rattles, leaks, stuff snapping, etc.

The E90 is at about 3200 miles and still smells new. So far so good but I think I need a software update. My iDrive is super slow. It takes several seconds for things to respond, my BT does weird stuff, Comfort Access sometimes leaves me standing there tugging on the door handle, but performance wise, it's great.

My friend's 2006 325i has about 5K miles and he's been very happy with it. He didn't get iDrive, but is annoyed that the radio display is blank with his polarized sunglasses. His power seat button fell off and he already destroyed one run-flat tire at a cost of $400. This is his first BMW and I got him hooked on BMWs. He loves the handling/ride/steering feel of his BMW. BT works well with his Motorola Q. He's been thinking about trading to a new 3-series convertible in the future.:)

I have found our E46 M3 to be quite reliable as well. The plastic in the E90s doesn't seem to be as robust as the E46's. No rattles or leaks so far with the M3 (knock on wood).
