My bastard nieghbor just got a M6 convertable.

I not jealous of the guy or anything becuase if i wanted one i could afford it. But I cant stand him for some other reasons and the fsct that he got a BMW pisses me off. He used to drive audis and benzes which made me happy. But now im pissed. He is the type of guy that buys a car because of its status or name. Not because of what it is capable of or how it drives. The guy is an ass. And definately doesnt know how to handle 500hp. Sorry guys for the rant but i gotta complain to someone.

No need to apologize for being jealous of your neighbors M6 :)

Everyone would be :)

He just wants to be like you Tony. Buy a Ferrari and piss off his sorry ass. He'll try to keep up with the Jones.

Don't let him piss ya off, man... it's like Laura said, he probably just wants to try to win your approval.
You could take it as a compliment - even if he is a douche bag! :gunner:

I saw yet ANOTHER //M6 today......its like a sudden burst of popularity. I've seen so many E60 M5s and this week it's the 4th (different) M6. At least this one was in Imola Red, my preferred color for the M6.

I don't get jealous of those guys. They're way in a different age and income bracket, so I have no right to judge who they are. Maybe they are just a lucky as*hole, or maybe they worked for it, who knows?

Now, as for kids near my age, that's when I pay attention. I'm pretty satisfied with the slowest BMW sold in the US, and I usually don't brood over "why does that kid get an M3?". However, just to make sure MY friends don't buy a BMW that makes me jealous, I often persuade them to choose options/models that wouldn't make me envious. For example, a friend of mine's parents bought a 2006 325i in April. And of course, I warned him to stay away from sport package, stay with the wood trim, blah blah blah. So now he has the typical SG 325i with auto, premium, leather, wood trim, heated seats, and xenons, just like everyone else. And I can rest assured our 328i next year will be better. ;)

I know how you feel... there is a guy here at work who is a complete fooking nincompoop of a loser... and he just bought an e90, just like mine (different color). I was SO pissed when I saw him get in that car! I saw him walking toward his car in the parking lot, and all I kept thinking was, "Please tell me he does not drive... please tell me he does not drive a car just like mine. Damn, he does!" I was pissed. How can a loser guy like that have the same taste in cars as me?!?!? <sigh> Oh well...

LOL, I got you beat. My neighbor has an X5 4.4 and a E46 330, same as me. Their X5 4.4 is even the same year and color. They bought each one shortly after I bought mine. Irks me every time I see his vehicles. One of my motivations for modding is to differentiate myself from him.

Ha, similar story. When I bought my E46 M3 in Carbon Black with Grey leather I had a friend I worked with asking me about M3's because he wanted to get one. So I took him out in mine and told him everything I knew. The next week he says "got a M3!" I go out to look.........IDENTICAL to mine.

LOL Juan.. sorry to say but you should be glad you don't live in CA or FL. you would be 1 pissed off man! :nanana:

BTW guys.. who cares what other people drive. You get your car so YOU enjoy it. If you try to keep up with the Jones', you will always be unhappy... kevin, Art and a couple other folks have been here and exotics are dime a dozen around here... We even have a neighbor with a Veyron...
