Question about 740IL
 

Hi Guys,

I have the opportunity to get a 2000 740IL with 70K miles, excellent shape from a friend who is moving overseas for $ 11,000. What do you guys think?

Any experience with this car? is the price right, a steal?

If it's in good shape, it's a steal! I have a '99 with 73k miles on it. I have gotten unsolicited offers for it around $15k. I think I can sell it for $18k right now.

What color combo? Any accidents? Options?

:iagree: with AutoXer .. if it's a good shape, it's a steal! I still love the E38 body style. You have the chance to do a lot of mods, as well :D bluetooth, widescreen nav upgrade, MKIV DVD navigation upgrade, (check out Martin Bishop's www.bimmernav.com site)

One caviat with the E38's .. check to see if the radiator has been replaced yet, they're known to go right around 60k. Keep us posted, and good luck :D :2thumbs: they're one hell of a car
