Nice.. I love LEDs, but I'm surprised they didn't have them earlier.. some of the later years of production on the E46 coupe had LEDs. What, exactly, is new about the outside except for the LEDs though? I notice the headlight looks a little different inside, but it's the same shape. Anything else?

Great, at first they don't do it...now they overdue it. :)

BTW: probably added $3,000 to the cost of the car

PersonaNonGrata 01-09-2007 08:17 PM

Wow, the changes are so subtle you can't even tell what they are. It looks like the revised the bumbers a little bit. :dunno:

The LED upgrade can't be just an M5 only update... it must be across the entire E60 line or at least from the 535i on up?

Kewl X5 01-09-2007 09:15 PM

BMW needs to remove the "nanny-DSC" function for the 6-speed manual tranny. Also, they need to up the HP/Torque on the M5....MB has BMW beat already!!

Rumor has it that BMW may have a 550hp M5....but, they still need to make it that you can turn off DSC completely!!

Wagner 01-09-2007 09:16 PM

Yeah...but it will be 550hp and 389tq. :)

It seems that a V10 should have more torque than 389 lb-ft

Then again, do F1 engines have all that much torque?

xnsf 01-09-2007 10:25 PM

don't know, do they?

Wagner 01-09-2007 10:33 PM

Don't know about torque but check out the HP numbers for displacement, not to mention RPMs.

Minor changes on body, minor on fixtures, some new colors. More trim and leather on inside.
