BMW 335 xi ????
 

Does anyone know if BMW is planning to make 335 as an xi coupe in the near future?

My son is getting his licence and getting my wife's A4 and we are starting to look for a replacement. I love the look and interior of 335i coupe, and from what I hear driving just knocks your socks off with those twin turbos.

335xi is suppose to come out in the Q4 2007 time frame.

No info on a 335xi coupe.

From what I've heard, both on online forums and from my dealer, is that there will NOT be a 335xi coupe. Starting in March '07 production, a 335xi SEDAN will be offered, though. There are a bunch of changes for the March 07 3-series.

My dealer and a lot of forums said there will be a 335Xi, dealer said by summer. Let's see if they're right.

Here are the changes for March 2007 Production of the 3-Series:

335xi sedan:
335xi Sedan starts production March 2007. The 335xi Sedan is powered by the same 3.0-liter twin turbo inline 6-cylinder engine as the 335i Sedan. The equipment, packages and options available on the 335xi are similar to the 335i; however below are the exceptions and new additions.
Standard Equipment
Retractable headlight washers are standard. Therefore, they are not included in the Cold Weather Package (ZCW).Sport Package Equipment
Sport Leather steering wheel
Differentiated 17-inch wheels style 158
Sport Seats
18-Inch Wheels with performance tires, style 162, available as a Sport Package upgradeOptions
Active Steering (217) will not be available for this model
Paddles shifters (2XA) are not availableSULEV
Starting with March production, automatic transmission (205) will no longer be required on the 3281, 328xi Coupe, 328i Sedan, 328xi Sedan SULEV models.

Also:
-HD radio is available as a factory installed option, and is now available WITH real-time traffic information.
-Optional iPod/USB adapter (6FL) is now available. This option enables the vehicle’s audio system to play an MP3 player through the vehicles audio system. It will fully integrate iPod’s functionality into the radio or multifunction steering wheel, as well as charge the iPod.
Navigation with Voice Recognition and Real Time Traffic Information now includes 6 programmable memory buttons for storing frequently used functions sucha as a phone number, street address or radio station.

Are you saying that after march production these cars will get the ZF 6 speed auto ?

I read that statement to mean that a manual transmission would be available on SULEV models.
