:wow::wow::wow: i love it!!!

not so much the sedan...

canamx5 02-20-2007 09:39 PM

I wish it were more aggressive :dunno: Very honda civic like IMO.
I bet it's a great drive though! Btw, thanks 4 the pics.

mmmm....yummy...:D
Pipes and mesh rear grille look nice...

Whats up with the IS-F hood on the sedan? That's a bad CGI.

Just wondering, but pics say only for posting on WCF.com...

Can't wait to see the REAL thing!!!

PersonaNonGrata 02-21-2007 04:24 AM

I must admit that it's not rocking my world. The "powerdome" hood is about the only distinctive panel and it looks like an imperfection rather a design element. I do think it's nice but it not "wow", which is what the new M3 should be, especially given the power that thing will be laying down and the price it will certainly command. Just my $0.02.

I am glad they brought back the 4 door. It is about time. One of the reasons I never considered the current ///M3

Not any more. WCF thinks that they own these pics when they are on at least 10 different sites. :tsk:

Very nice, cant wait to take one for a test ride

GUINNESS 02-21-2007 01:01 PM

Very blah and not aggressive. Hope it looks different in person.

noncom23 02-21-2007 01:28 PM

They could smooth it out and it could look like 6 series easily.

With ///M cars that is the whole point, or so it used to be. You want to have a car that looks just like a good old family sedan. Beautiful but not flashy and fast as hell. Just look at the AMGs or the S line from Audi.

Why would you want this you ask?

1) Cops won't notice you as much.
2) You can pull up to people at a stop light, the don't know the difference and think they can smoke you. You prove them wrong with authority.

I was actually a little dissapointed that they made the new ///M5 a little too aggressive looking. Quite possible the reason they haven't been doing even close to the sales numbers as the old ones. My stealership constantly has one or two in stock. That was NEVER true with the last chassie.

More pics. The regular M will have rear license plate on trunk lid and CSL will have it on rear bumper.

dang that last pic was some serious eye candy!
looks like a 335 coupe with a la csl spoiler? fooking hot!

SANguru 02-26-2007 04:20 PM

I highly doubt that cops don't notice. M cars have gotten a lot of press and cops are not that dumb nowadays. The problem with the E90 M3 is the lack of aerodynamic aid in the back.. It will feel floaty after 150 with the lack of valence and downforce. It's night and day difference between my old E60 M5 and my CS with the proper aerodynamic aid. The styling is still very bland IMO and not very elegant. They need to learn from Audi on the styling of the RS4.
