Deals on 335i and 328i
I went to the BMW dealership today to test drive and work out some numbers on cars I was interested in. On a 328i that I test drove, on a 36 month lease with 12k miles per year, they offered me 0 down with $564 per month. The msrp on the car was $37k, it only had the premium package. On the 335i, which was priced at $48k, they offered me 0 down and $725 per month. The 335i had everything but nav. For a trade in, they offered me $19,500 for my X, which I told them that if I gave it up for $23k, it was a steal for them. I want to know what you guys think about these deals. I personally think that they are very high. Any suggestions, advice? Thanks.

I would shop around with other dealers in the area as well as internet. And don't restrict yourself to NV. You can ask several dealers on internet for best deals.

What about if you purchase out of state, as LM suggested?
Both numbers seems a tad high. This is in addition to the X5.......right...? |

I think I should have worded my quesion as: "you are replacing the X5?" :) Yours looks exactly how mine did, that's why I like it! You should get like 25k for it considering you don't have that many miles and you have several upgrades. good luck |

Maybe you can compromise and get a pre owned 330i? :)

what's the money factor? what's the residual? what's the tax rate where the car will be registered? need all of that to know if the lease is a good deal or not.... gut feeling is that the 328 deal is a bit high and the 335i is a complete rip off. I was paying under $700 WITH tax in the lease for my '04 X5 (purchase price in the mid $50k's). The money factor must be very high now. |

OK my 335i with everything INCLUDING navi from bmwsd and 15k a year is 620 a month

http://www.edmunds.com/apps/calc/CalculatorController Your payment should be ~ $707. ($650 bank fee and $750 acquisition fee that it won't let me zero out). So you should be under $700 for that car. The lease factor = ~ 4% loan. (.00165x2400) |

Yeah, my dealer gave me my car as listed below
-sport -prem -navi -PDC -Rear shades -CWP -metallic paint Price was (guessing) 50k? My dealer (BMW of SD) gave me an order (if ordering car) quote of that price with 15k a year I assumed it included tax because he made reference to a base payment almost 100.00 less, I still thought that was quite high for a 3 series |

Yeah I know but I also remember how my 2003 325i (msrp 36,500) was 419.96 a month with 15k mpy, and how the X5's go for the same price as my 335i (previous generation lease rates that is), I need to check lease trader so compare

I must say those numbers sound really high. With just $7,200 down on a $64,000 X5, with 15,000 miles per year, I only pay $750 a month. I did talk them down a few thousand but not enough to make that big of a dent.
I would check bmwusa.com for their lease specials. Could be that they aren't a participating dealership. |

The terms of the lease are generally set by BMW and do not change dealer to dealer.
The lease is based upon the following factors: 1) Selling price or capitalized cost 2) Money factor (multiple by 24 to convert to an interest rate) 3)Term of lease 5) Residual which changes based upon mileage. The residual is a percentage of the list/sticker price of the car. The key factor that is subject to change is the selling price, therefore it is better to just shop selling price. |
