Suggestions on wheels.

M6 or CSL or M5 powdercoated Black, Tough choice but def. not the E39 type
|
wag, same dilemna here with our 550 and aero kit like yours, when due i think m5 wheels will look best, the e39 looks odd, the csl's i doubt will look bitchen on the e60 and the m6 are just a hit and miss thing, youd have to actually see them on yer car. e60 m5's are best imo!

Tough without seeing them on the car.
(Voted for New M5) |

Tough call....
I have a friend who had the E39 M5 wheels on his E60 530i and they looked good but a little dated and odd since they were from the previous generation 5er. (Most people who never notice that but we do.) Not a bad option though. The E60 M5 wheels would look best but I'm not sure if those wheels along with the M-Sport kit would make it look too M5 wanna-be. Don't get me wrong, I love the M-Sport kit and the wheels but some people would be bothered with the prospect of being labeled a poseur. I'm not a big fan of the M6 wheels. They are a little too spindly and show way too much brake disc which would be fine if there were enough brake disc to fill in behind. This wheel is on the bottom of my list of the choices you gave. The CSL wheels would look good as long as you went 19" or 20". It's a classic design and has been used in one variant or another across the BMW range. That would look awesome! Velocity Motoring V715 http://www.velocitymotoring.com/imag...eels-V715a.gif |
