Pictures of X5 world member's BMW M6 - individual

Hi all,

As per the request of LeMansX5 I'm posting some pictures of my M6 convertible Individual.

Specs can be seen below. Car has 11,400 km now and is fully run in. This is the best car I have ever owned. In my opion (and quite a few other M6 board members) this is a SuperCar for every day use.

Below are some links to websites where pictures were posted. Hope you like them:

a) Pictures taken during delivery of the car in Feb 07:

b) Pictures of M6 taken on a sunny day:

c) Pictures taken by a car spotter and placed on a spotter website:

d) More spotter pictures:

e) and some more ...:

As you can see ... privacy ain't what it used to be. That is all I've got LeMansX5.

I may have more coming since I'll be taking a private course with a BMW instructor on a airfield on August 19th 07. I may have some pictures of this "high speed" event. I'll probably post them on the M6 board but provide the X5 board members with the link.

I hope you will enjoy the pictures

She already got plenty of that. Speeds in excess of 250 km/h are very easy to achieve. Top speed of 305 km/h was done once (won't disclose where since we don't know who is ready over our sholder ... haha Belgian Police :nanana: ).

That thing just flies.

That is one FineAzz car!

Pics were fookin huge, but worth the download.

Amazing, May I ask why you didnt choose the coupe vs. the vert? MY brother and I regularly get into a arguement on what to choose, I choose the hardtop and he likes the vert. I just think of how cool the carbon fiber roof looks and that is my selling point. Either way an gorgeous car!!!

It was a tough choice for me as well but one has to know that I had a 6er before (coupe not a vert.). When I informed a certain member of the family that I wanted to change to an M6 her eyes litt up and she said: great but make sure to get the vert otherwise I'll use my veto right. Hey, who was I to argue that?:fight: I did try by saying that the coupe is faster, more hardcore and looks stunning in Alpinweiss but my opion changed once I test drove both the coupe and the vert.

True, the coupe is more hardcore than the vert and handles (a little) better but let me tell you, one can only tell the difference while pushing the car to the limit on a track. For every day use, you hardly feel the difference as the vert is amazingly fast and really has a stiff chasis for a convertible.

Buying an M6 is getting two cars for the price of one. You get a GT which is easy to drive and can be used every day but all this can be changed at the push of a button and boy, you get a wild animal !ouch: in your hands with true sportscar caracteristics. Buying the M6 convertible gives you ... 3 cars. Driving this thing with the top down is so much fun. The engine sound is amazing and accellerating with the top down in P500 Sport, S5, MDM on is like a rollercoaster ride over and over again and that kind of makes up for loosing the CF roof.

My advise to you and your brother ... stop arguing :fencing: , both race to the dealer and you place an order for the coupe and your brother orders a vert and ... off you go for a nice family race. Make sure to post pictures when you get them delivered :woot:

I am not buying as of now, unfortunately we here in Pennsylvania get a shitload of snow so I need an SUV so the next vehicle I am purchasing is a E70 4.8 in AW like your 4.8, I want to go with the Tobacco interior and the Aero kit is a must, as for my brother I am sure by this coming summer he will have a M6 vert and will borrow my E53 in the winter  but I get to rip around in the M6 so it all will work out

Makes the M6 sound like a Ferrari. For more details: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=99483

If your brother orders the M6 he needs to get the Eisenmann. Sport is awesome. Race a bit too loud for the convertible in my opinion.
