Almost 1 million people have signed up for updates on 1-series at bmwusa.com. Dealers are getting deposits like crazy. The first few months production will be sold out soon at this rate. After procede and other tune-ups and all it will be better than 335 in 0-60.

Who needs another series, well I guess when you're jacking your prices up you need to make a new entry level ride  |
I agree its a cool little car, which appeals to anyone wanting a lighter more nible car than the current e90, but the rear end looks wack.........
The shape of the E92 just looks more elegant.... |
that sounds bleak to get this car at launch, i really want to ED it too!

the 1 series is great and I think it's gonna be something in US!

Was in Cabo San Lucas this past week and as we were walking thru town, a white 1-series sedan slowly drove past us. I am not a big fan of the hatch-look, but it was pretty cool to see one.

340 hp engine on tii. You can actually order the car with those stripes and other custom M-sport options. More in the attached PDF.

That tii is the shit, I love carbon fiber diffusors and the alcantara interior is amazing, along with my brother I may be getting one of these

Additional confirmation that tii will have 340HP to my post # 21. This may be the new M1!
BMW’s Concept 1-series tii has been causing a bit of a stir of late, with word getting out it’s housing a more powerful version of the 335i’s 3.0L twin turbo. The rumor comes from a group of German journalists who have apparently driven the car. With the U.S. introduction of the 1-series just around the corner, it makes sense for BMW to test more powerful versions and expand the limited range of models coming to the world’s biggest car market. Currently, only the 125i and 135i are scheduled to go on sale in the States. Interestingly, the engine is said to be tweaked to produce 340hp, up from the original 306hp, suggesting it may be the basis for a possible hardcore version, according to the guys from AutoBild. A car as potent and light as this could easily blitz the competition, as its RWD setup will give it the precision and control not possible in most of its rivals due to their FWD or AWD powertrains. The concept also featured a fully aerodynamically tuned bodykit and plenty of carbon-fiber to keep weight down and strength up. The carbon-fiber roof, as seen on the concept, could also become a trademark of BMW’s high-performance coupes. One thing about BMW is that most of its concept vehicles usually end up in production either as is or with very few modifications, however with this one BMW will have to tread carefully as it could turn out to be a possible M3-killer. Production plans may not be concrete yet, although we certainly hope BMW goes ahead with it. |
several months ago when i was in europe the hatchback didn't do anything for me.
i just recently returned to the states after being gone for a month, & i came back really liking the hatchback. now that it's coming in a coupe EVEN BETTER. hmmm...1 series or Smart?!?! (i know there is no comparison) |
