Don't Tell The Wife

But I ordered her a TiAG/Black e90 335i Step with SP, Prem, Nav, CW, CA, PDC, 6FL, HD, and rear Shades to replace her 05 X3. Should be here any day now!

Poor thing...she thinks she is either getting another X3 or a 328i. I love being devious...

how can you buy your wife a car without her picking it out??????????
you just give it to her and hope she likes it???

In case you're not being sarcastic, it's called a surprise. A pleasant surprise. Nice move indeed.

I am not being sarcastic. I was being serious. I understand a surprise. however doesnt your wives like to pick out their own car and the options?
I couldnt imagine jsut getting my wife a car and saying here this is yours. I am sure she would be surprised but she may not like what I got. same goes for a house, I don't know if it really happens, but on tv the guy surprises the wife with a nice new house.. how can you possible buy a house without your spouses consent or approval.

It's a car, there are only so many variances and I doubt his wife is going to get mad that he got her basically all the options. I'm sure he already knows his wife's preferences on colors. And if they were already looking at a 328i, this is a nice (very nice) step up from that. It's not that complicated..

We have been married for 11 years now. I have a good idea what she likes and doesn't like. And just to be totally safe, we talked about what we were going to get when the lease on her X3 is up. We even went so far as to use the bmwusa.com build your own feature and compared the different models/colors. I made careful mental notes of her comments, let her forget all about it, and then ordered the car she told me she preferred.

While driving around LA I pointed-out different brands/models and solicited her opinion. She prefers BMW. That made it easy in my mind.

In the end I am not shooting blindly and hoping she likes it. It was an educated decision.
