Q about BMW nav

hi not sure its been asked before. does bmw outsource their nav to garmin, tomtom, etc, or do they make their own nav routing engine. are the maps supplied by navteq? thanks.

I have a guess they source it to Siemens. Not sure on that though.

they've used Navteq up until now.

Well, that is sort of an old announcement (March 2007), and says "select BMW vehicle navigation systems will contain Tele Atlas maps starting in 2008". My 2008 E70 has Navteq so we'll have to see what happens...
