535dT... who's legs do we have to break to get it here
Not like I'm in any rush, but I was talking to Nicole last night and my thinking was get her 3 series, eventually pay mine off, and when it's my turn, I'm hunting for a 5 series touring. While I love the e39 style, the 535d motor sounds very appealing (yes, i was reading last month's Roundel again).
Why on earth wouldn't BMW bring over the 5 touring? Do they think people would just want it in the 528 or not at all :( I think a touring would so fit our needs in the future... considering eventually (still some time from now) a baby seat will be going in the middle http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...29/1shifty.gif |

Patience, my freind. BMW diesels are starting in US with X5 and 335d and 5-series will follow.

Yes, but unless I'm missing something, the 5-series will only follow in sedan trim and NOT touring. Me wants a touring. And this is Ken, too lazy to sign out of Nicole's and in with mine.

5 Series tourings are cool. I get it. You get it. Unfortunately, BMWNA and BMW CA think that Clark Griswold drives a station wagon, and cool people drive SUVs, even though they call them SAVs. Shame on them. They also think that all tourings should be awd, so that they can pretend to be X3s and X5s. Short of moving to Europe, I am not sure what we can do about this (apart from buying Audis and Volvos).

Well, there is a 328iT that isn't AWD.........
A 550iT would be very cool, but a 535dT would be really practical. |
What about the M5 Touring that is denied to USA Folks?

Come on now... I'd slit someone's throat for an M5 touring, but I was trying to be practical :) And yes, the U.S. is also denied the M5 touring. |

A 550iT isn't as cool as a 535iT would be, but we don't get that either. |
