i do here in SD. but not up in LA :(

For what its worth, I would not get a used BMW that didn't come with CPO. In my 645 I have had probably $5000+ dollars worth of work done, all covered under CPO/or original warranty. My 645 had the entire electronics stack go up which needed shipped over from Germany..that would have been nice and expensive had the car been out of warranty. Just a personal warning :)
Price to me seems reasonable, that is what they are going for here. Hell, coupes w/CPO are going for $50-$52,000. |
Gmorning! So I'll have coverage for 1 more year / 22K miles. At that point, I could always dump the car or buy coverage. But your point/warning is well taken.
Curious, though, what year was your 645? I'm hoping it was a first-year run, i.e., 2004? |
Yeah 2004 but the errors I had spanned the entire 645 time before the 650 came online :) If you start to notice any issues with iDrive...get to the dealer and have the stack changed out.
Now I'm big on buying and dumping cars, but I don't know that you would want to run out and pay top dollar for a used 645 to dump it less then a year later ;) |
There's no way i'm doing that deal without seeing the "medical history". If there's nothing to hide they should have no problem with "running the key" for you.
My advice is to walk away if they don't give you the info. |

Never paid $50K for one of them though, highest one was my 911, and that was $39,000 when I bought it.
