645 idrive update?
 

So my new 6 is in the shop getting some (mostly) minor stuff taken care of under warranty, and they agreed that my idrive software sucks: it's SUPER slow lol.

Just wanted to double check that my request to be "upgraded to the newest version of iDrive software" means the following:

(1) visually, it's the new multi-colored background iDrive

(2) practically, it operates faster

(3) practically, it allows POI name entry

In other words, if they say they're going to "upgrade" it, that's what it means, right?

Because my service advisor suggested that upgrding the iDrive on a 645 -- as opposed to a 650 -- may NOT still allow POI name entry. But I don't thijnk that's correct. right?

nm. just talked with my SA. everything's under control. moderator(s), you can go ahead and delete this post actually. sorry lol
