Blacklines.... what a difference (e90 content)

It has begun :D Yes yes, Nicole and I are already modding her car. Blacklines came in Monday and I put them on yesterday. Driving home from work I saw 3 other e90s and thought to myself, damn Nicole's car is so much hotter than those. Blacklines make such a subtle yet amazing difference. I love them.

Pics to follow when we get the matte black window trim to get rid of the chrome, and matte black grill :D

But I promise, pics to come.... I may even slap on two of my LMs so Nicole can see what they'll look like :)

To me, blacklines are a must do mod. They make such a difference I ordered mine even before I got my E90. They totally change the look of the rear end. Good call on your part.

The other bonus is that you now have turn signals that flash amber rather than red. I think that increases visibility to differentiate the turn signals from brake lights.

It really depends on the color, it looks great on a Gray/Silver, but I think on my Black Sapphire, it might look a little cheezy.

Looks amazing on Gray.

They do look much better IMO.

Oh you are SO wrong. They look very good on my Black Sapphire E90. I think it actually makes the rear end look a little wider and definitely nicer. I also have the OEM painted rear spoiler.

I really see no difference, if any it's very subtle

Major04 06-09-2008 11:04 PM

Where's the pics? And slap on the LMs.

Oh contraire mon frere.

Original of my E90 pre-spoiler, pre-tint and pre-blacklines. Ewwww! Original rear lights are more red and more solid colored. It might be subtle and most people wouldn't know they're a mod but that's kind of nice too. Subtle can be good.

Night and day appearance, but that's my opinion. It's the equivalent of putting smoked tails on a VW, clear corners on an e46 or e36, color matched or black molding. It's so slight, that not everyone will notice, but to those who do.....

As for the pics... her car is filthy and needs a bath. The black vinyl for the window trim is in, so I have to get that on as well. And then I'll take more pictures... with 2 LMs.
