X5 Ute (aka X7 Pick Up)
 

Hey guys, I was trolling through various sites today and came across what the great minds at BMW hq were tossing around early this decade. Shame it never came to fruition, cause I would have bought one.

Having said that, it would never have been used per say as a construction vehicle, in that mine would not have made it through the front gate of a building site. Nice way to rock up to work though :thumbup:

Imagine this vehicle (around '06) tricked up with an angry 4.8 under the hood ??? ;)

I actually like the looks of the truck, it would be a great hit in USA and Canada but it just doesn't fit the BMW model line. Volkswagen has the Transporter and Mercedes the Vito but I guess that BMW wants to stay premium.

The E53 X5 doesn't offer the best off-road quality, so I guess that this concept would have required some adjustments. Still good photoshop.:thumbup:

Just a photochop by someone who has nothing to do with BMW,... never a BMW idea. The photochop dates back to at least year 2002. ....and has been posted here few times before.

Ugly. The back truck look makes it look horrible!

Imo, they might have sold less than a couple hundred, max, here in the Colonies...
not enough to justify the myth.
