Wait till they come with a car which has all three. ;) :)

Aren't xDrive and sDrive mutually exclusive? So we can only anticipate the seDrive and the exDrive, and not the sexDrive. Too bad, because if you combined it with nav, it would be the sexiDrive.

Does s-drive just connote rwd?

Is the current diff in the M models electronically controlled at all or is it purely mechanical? I'm sure they'd get a nice performance boost from using DPC on rwd models (much like Ferrari has done) if it isn't already the case.

Geez what's with all the speed freaks in the US? May I inform you that the 2,5i was the best selling X3 in Europe? I say was, because now the best selling model is a 2 litre diesel. And given the choice, I wouldn't really buy a 6 cylinder petrol because the 4 cylinders that BMW makes are sufficient and consume 5,2 l/100km or about 45 US mpg. Big engines are wasteful because there are few chances where you need to go from 37 to 74mph in 6 seconds. I would know because I reside in the mountains of bumf*ck nowhere VA and frequently share and merge onto freeways where tractor trailers steamroller down mountains. The X3 keeps up just fine (too fine for VA troopers) and consumes just 8,6 litres on the highway. /end rant.

Clearly we need to raise the petrol tax. :D

Matt, did you just come through customs & immigration, here in the
land of the free & home of the brave, big V8s and hundreds of thousands
of miles of interstates and nearly empty two lanes?! ;)

Gas tax increase: probably... to support the increasingly expensive costs to
keep up with the deteriorating infrastructure, but the politicos and the DOT
tend to misuse/mis-spend the dough, imo.
Sincerely Yours in the Hammer Down Club, mD

It's the best Z-series car yet. I do like it somehow, but I would buy a 3-er coupe instead to be honest. The new Z4 has got a nice rear styling, but shame the front is not aggressive enough for me.

I love the looks. I have a 2006 M Roadster in Sapphire Black tucked away in my garage and while the looks were first a bit iffy to me, the big wheels, cross drilled brakes, power ridges on the hood (m specific) and other M modifications have made me really fall in love with the car. Driving it is just an absolute dream, and the S54 at 333hp with a car that's right at 3k lbs combined with the perfect weight distro has been an absolute blast. The only thing that took some getting used to was looking over that big long bulbous hood, but then again in my Z3 M Coupe I had to deal with the fact that the windows didn't roll down all the way and when you looked in your side exterior mirrors half of the view was blocked by big bulging rear fenders :) Loved it!

So I'm about to have my Imola Red X5 4.4i parked next to my M Roadster which should cover just about any need for a bachelor :)
