E30 Motorcycle Hauler

What a great way to haul your motorcycle...I am shocked others haven't thought of this earlier!!! If he had a roof rack, he could have hauled 2 !!!

Saw this on my way to the Driving School this weekend at a truck stop, our meeting place for the caravan to the track. The guy was sleeping in the front seat so I didn't get real close. I would have erased his license plate numbers, but figured this guy wouldn't care.:bustingup

Feel free to send this to your friends.....

Husker,
Classic! Great pics...

It's a Honda F4, 600cc, but the sumbitch still weighs
very close to 400 lbs. Helluva lift on and off.

PS: I see gas is on sale there in NE.

HuskerX5 04-29-2009 05:58 PM

No Gas Sale Here....

MotorDavid,
It may seem that way....actually, that is the price for 87 octane Regular unleaded even today. The 89 octane (with ethanol blend) is actually $0.10 - $0.12 cheaper due to state subsidies. We have more than a few Ethanol Plants here.

I hear you about the "lift" to get it up on there. He had to have some help. We were hoping he wasn't attending our Driving School and that the Honda was his "Pit Bike"..:wow:

motordavid 04-29-2009 06:15 PM

Yes, ethanol...
I wonder what the right side of his scoot is going to look like when
they drag it out of the trunk, lol!

Good luck to you in your T Driving school. Decent gig, imo, if one
can stand the time away.
GL,mD

So who wants to start the betting pool on how many feet (not miles) he drove before being slapped with the biggest fine of his life from the police?

Funny you would say that....some fellow Driving School guys that were traveling ahead of us said they saw him coming from the West. Since his plates are from Utah and we were in Eastern Nebraska, he could have gotten quite far without getting nabbed. I don't know how he didn't get stopped, he stands out like a turd in a punch bowl. I agree with you, it certainly doesn't look safe at all. Wouldn't want to be behind him if the bike decided to bail out.:wow: As much as I love autocross, having to dodge a 400lb. bouncing motorcycle is not my idea of a good time.

Not only is that unsafe but I would think that he's doing some damage to his fairings. He might wind up with a couple grand worth of cracked or broken fairing when he gets wherever he's going.

Quicksilver 04-30-2009 01:10 PM

Not me......

but one might ask the question..
Aside from looking odd, let's suppose it was
a dresser drawer or some other large object
in that same spot?

If it was tied off properly what's the issue?
Yeah Yeah Yeah it's not a dresser but someone
needs to pull up the Law he would be violating.

Perhaps the only head scratcher might be as was
mentioned. Who held it up in place while it got
tied off, and who's gonna be there to lift it off?:dunno:

All joking asides, I've seen plenty of stuff fly off cars on the highway and it ain't pretty. There is no way on earth he has the bike mounted in an approved and safe manner. It doesn't matter if he thinks it's secure, if a police officer deems it unsafe then that's it. This guy could kill someone or worse, and it will only take 1 witness to send him to jail for manslaughter.
