New Z4 @ my dealership

Was at my dealership trying to cool down from my little run at the Susan G. Komen Run for the Cure when I saw this sitting in the lot. Nice little Z4, IMO! So, took a quick phone pictures.

Looks pretty good, but my buddy just bought a new outgoing M Coupe for less than $40k. $60k MSRP is climbing up there.

I like the look but agree that $60K is crazy money.

i agree...for 60k, i'd rather buy a m3!

Are you sure it was new? Perhaps it was a demo?

There were zero brand new Z4 M coupes left in the country as of last October per the BMW dealer inventory system. But there are a ton of them out there as demos, either driven by BMWNA or BMW dealer personnel, because of some insanely low employee lease rates assigned to the Z4's because of slow sales.

I'd take a Z4M coupe any day over the new Z4 35sdrive or whatever they're calling it.

I am pretty sure it was a demo. I should have said that. I want to say it had around 3,500 miles, but he was able to finance it as a new car and it had never been titled. He bought it in January of 09.

Z4 has grown up and become expensive - needed to make room for the "affordable" Z1.

Why does the hood look it rises from the base of the windshield and peaks over the front wheels? Is that an illusion from the camera lens or is the hood rounded?

There are new ones out there. Isringhausen has two. Althought I'd rather have the '06 Z4M they have and pocket the extra $25k.
