Spark Plugs in a 645?

It's not an X5, but I see quite a few mechanically orineted guys on here (unlike the site for the 6 Series). Do any of you know your way around a 2005 645 to answer the following?

I can remove 6 of 8 Ignition Coils to get at the spark plugs, but the rear-most on each bank are a problem. Each coil runs into the shock tower before disengaging from the hole in the valve cover.

What is the trick? I looked a unbolting a motor mount & its a bitch! Maybe the trans mount at the rear?

Thoughts?

remove the tiny plastic locking tabs for the foam covering the body of the vehicle, they twist out. same as 745. pull out the coil and then close the coil cap for the connector and slide it out.

I know that. I did change 6 of 8.

from my post.... "...rear-most on each bank are a problem. Each coil runs into the shock tower before disengaging from the hole in the valve cover."

There is a hard interference. The coil can't come out far enough because of the proximity of the shock tower.

Honestly, the group of characters here are some of the best out there. You can try bimmerfest and see what you get....Phil
