Probably one of the worst ideas thought of ever. In any industry. Betcha it won't go off road or even up a grassy slope.

Not the first 4wd Mini, that would have been the Mini Moke twini, which accomplished the AWD goal with twin engines.

It didn't work out, due to lack of ground clearance.

I like the Clubman, partly because it respects the heritage of the design. The various crossover concepts (apparently a beach buggy is in the works) just seem to lose that design integrity.

JCL, thanks for that pic of the Mini Moke! My parents had one for a few years
as their island get around vehicle, when they first bought their house on
Montserrat. I felt like I was driving a kit car; a badly done kit car, :rofl:

The Mini-Moke was hugely successful down here despite the crook build quality. At least it was easy to fix!
