335i convertible 36.5K from BMW dealer or 36K from non BMW dealer

I am looking to add a new horse, ummm, BMW (actually pre-owned) to my stable and will appreciate advise from the wise folks on these forums:

A BMW dealer is willing to give 2yr extended warranty (platinum coverage) on a 335i convertible with 46K Miles and with factory warranty till Nov 2011 (Sports, Premium, Cold Wthr, Nav, Sat, Auto with Steering mounted shifters & USB) asking $36.5, while the car from the other dealer (not BMW) has 30K miles on it (Sports, Premium, Cold Wthr, Nav, HUD, Auto with Steering mounted shifters, USB & Wind Deflector) and has 18months of factory warranty left (till Aug 2012), asking $36K. I am really confused, which one to go with, HELP!!!!

To extend the warranty on the one not from the dealer, itd cost you another 2k. Go with the dealer one, an extra 2 years of warranty helps

Round it up... You pay 1500$more ($38k) if you going to buy extend warranty for less mile ( that is 18 k miles different ).Go with the one non BMW dealer.

Thanks folks, looks like there are mixed opinions :)

Naz looks like we share our Alma Mater.

SANguru, this 335 did have the HUD, I saw when I hit 60 right on the windshield, very interesting that you mention it is not available because I couldn't find it on BMW's website as well.

The BMW dealer was supposed to get back to me with the details on the extended warranty, strangely he mentioned that BMW does not allow them to give extended warranty on CPO cars, so they will have to take it off CPO and offer me the warranty, which is really strange indeed.

Now when I drove the car at the non BMW, I felt some buffeting in my ear, which the guy told me is natural for a vert as it has more noise, but I am a little apprehensive that the roof hopefully has no issues. What is the experience of folks with a vert?
