So long e36
2 Attachment(s)
Well after 9+ years I have let my 1994 325i go. It was pushing 325,000 miles and with the unexpected addition of a company car as well as my recently purchased e46 M3, we really didn't need to keep it. It was bitter sweet to part with it. One less car to maintain, but on the other hand I have a lot of good memories in it and the engine still ran very strong and smooth. Still don't think it looks too bad after 17 years and 325,000 miles. Good news is that it went to a 17 year old who seems like he will really appreciate it. I know he washed it on the day he picked it up. Who knows, maybe I have passed on the BMW bug to someone else?

Well, it certainly gave you good service. Looks very clean.
I had a new Alpine White 1994 318i sedan for a year. I then transferred into the north, and sold it before I went as there wouldn't have been a dealer within 450 km, and it didn't seem suited to the rough roads. Always liked that car. It is sad to seem them go after that amount of time, but take some solace in the fact that you can get into your M3 any time you like. |

You are right, it was sad to see it go. It was a good car. I beat on it daily and it only failed me about 5 times in 9 years. My wife and I had driven it from Key West to Niagra Falls and every where in between on the east coast. The kid who bought it from me actually sent me a note telling me how excited he was and thanked me for it. My wife looked at me and said "he does know his parents paid us for it, right?" It's nice to know someone else will appreciate it. You are also right about the M3. I hope I own that car for as long as I owned the e36. |
