Were these ever options in the US?
 

I have to dig out my other bimmer forums' IDs and post it there, but meanwhile, it seems that a few people here have other BMWs, so it might be ok to post the question on the home forum first...

Were these options available in the US market for the 3 series - the steering wheel with some cool gadgets and the sports seats?

Not on the car lot,,but you can buy them at local dealers parts department,or here..

I have seen this steering and seats on quite a few M3, 1M coupe, 3-series and 1-series in US.
That looks like an old version of performance steering. The new one looks different.

BMW performance seats are great - I have the Recaro Sportster CS - which the BMWP seats are based on
