PS. this company claims that they have the PDLC film that I was searching for a while ago - the tint film that can be darkened or lightened based on electrical input... while investigating their PDLC claim, I have stumbled across this product on their website...

hahaha guys, i am not installing this... just came across this while at their website - they emailed me with their webpage for the electrically adjusted tint (some may remember the discussion we had a year or two ago)... their stuff is still too awkward for a retail consumer, and they need more of a distributor...

i did, however, find this company, SMARTTINT.COM, which sell retail to US consumers...

The PO of our 4.6i Hamann had one of these under the rear roundel. It looked unique. It was a very mellow red glow under the emblem. I disconnected it but kindof miss it...Felt much like SlickGT1 mentioned..
