Wood trim removal
 

I am planning on Doing a carbon fiber wrap on my wood trim. Interior grey and black and the wood looks out of place. I do not know how to get the piece off of the shifter of my 03 automatic. Has anyone done this?

That piece just prys off. Start from the top or bottom and just pry out. Use a small pocket screw driver with tape wrapped at the end or a plastic pry tool and it will pop out.

i dont like the wood either.

can all the trim pieces be removed with just a flat head(prob wrapped in a thin cloth)?

Not the center console, ash tray trim, cd player trim, or the rear cupholder trim. Those are all attached by screws on the underside.

You have to take the whole center console out to get those pieces off, trust me it cannot be done without. There are about 15 tiny screws (T10 or T8 IIRC)

I read up on all the threads just like you guys, EVERYONE said it could not be done without removing the entire center console. To me, that was daunting so I covered the centerpiece WITHOUT removing the center piece.
