You can say "Kinda Like" but that's where the analogy ends. :D

Not on either side of the political spectrum here but honestly,
I don't think girlfriend has a clue.

I'll give her credit for trying to sound knowledgeable but when talking about domestic
policy with ABC's Charles Gibson in his second day of exclusive access on Friday,
she seemed confused about entitlement programs -- and unaware that Congress has
little say in significantly reducing the costs of Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare.

There were other less than knowledgeable responses to questions as well.
What struck me the most was her demeanor. Overall she seemed combative,
a bit disrespectful and determined to get across her points despite polite coat
pulling by Charles Gibson regarding her inaccurate responses and disjointed replies.

But the election is not about her and all that will come to the fore
in the weeks to come.

I'd agree with Quick in some parts. Her role is to be combative. She is the addition McCain needed, he was simply too quiet in the face of the DEM attack machine and YouTube generators :)

Simply put, she is now in the media (for better or worse) more than Obama, and Biden (sadly) is basically a "who" at this point. That is was the REPs wanted if you ask me.

The point the REPs should push is theirs is the only ticket with an executive on it.

A funny quote I heard: "If you work here for only 143 days you can not be a manager" - McDonalds

Side bar:

Why it is important you listen first hand and not to peoples renditions of information.

Too bad she was quoting Lincoln with her 'holy war' line that ABC News tried to misrepresent :tsk:

The "Bush Doctrine" question which you may or may not have heard about. First off I had no idea what a "Bush Doctrine" was...sorry.

Google Charles Krauthammer and his 2001 article in National Review. He is the originator of the phrase and as he and others have pointed out, "Bush Doctrine" has multiple applications, not just the reference to pre-emptive warfare.

HWOA? How Would Obama Answer? He would've stammered and danced around the question like 99% of the other politicians.

Here is how I see things...I encourage tough questions on EVERY candidate especially of the candidate I'm supporting. Problem is the media does not appear to be consistent.

I doubt Gibson...Or any other major new outlet anchor would ask Obama "if he really thinks that being a community organizer and a freshmen in the Senate qualifies to hold the office of President".

Then after Obama answers yes continue to harp on the subject belittling his contribution and experience.

Could you see the national media asking this:

(Talking Head) Mr Obama. If you applied for a position in the FBI or Secret Service do you think you would be able to pass the extensive security background check required for such a position?

(Obama)...Yes blah blah blah...

(Talking Head) But Mr. Obama. Your association with the known terrorist William Ayers could disqualify you from obtaining a security clearance for initial entrance into the FBI, or Secret Service.

(Obama) His crime was committed when I was 8 Blah Blah Blah

(Talking Head) Well, it alone might not disqualify you; however, you have associations with others known to have questionable ties such as:

Frank Davis, Communist
Mark Rudd, Communist
Mike Klonsky, Communist
Carl Davidson, Communist
Bernadine Dohrn, Communist
Raila Odinga, Foreign Communist
Rezko, Gangster

Not to mention your admitted past drug use.

(Obama) That is quilt by association blah blah blah

(Talking Head) Precisely, which is why such an extensive background evaluation is given to root out anyone with questionable associations for National Security and High Level Clearance.

Gibson is just another puke urinalyst with an agenda. Why on earth he was allowed to be the "first" to interview Palin is beyond me. Palin held her own and did quite well, imo. If anything, the urinalyst looked like the idiot without a clue.
