Obama in New Mexico

For those that aren't aware, Obama just made a campaign stop here in NM. He went to a hard working, blue collar and immigrant based town north of Santa Fe, Espanola.

This is what greeted him. ( as in vamanos)

Obamanation

1. The horrible state of affairs that results after a Barack Obama win as president.

2. The fanatical obsession that has swept the United States in support of Barack Obama.

It is also a web site for what appears to be a very disturbing radical fundamentalist Black Christian organization (Christians for Social Justice) that believes that abortion is the largest issue facing the black community, since apparently it is a white plot to reduce the percentage of black children born. They are vehemently anti-Obama. Just a warning.

Back to your post....is it still a fanatical obsession at this point in the campaign? I know that many didn't appreciate the reception Obama got in Europe (perhaps because of the belief that what is good for Europe is bad for America). Then Obama slipped in the polls with the Palin appointment, so he and McCain were essentially tied. Now he is up to 9 points ahead (depending on which poll you believe) but is that a fanatical obsession? What criteria makes those people fanatics and others balanced in their viewpoints? Just wondering.

Thanks for posting, it caused me to go read about the whole Obamanos movement. It is quite a grass-roots force. They have a website with their philosophy, best summarized as "Time for the US to get moving."

I agree with Wagner that they know what they are doing.
