President Biden vs. President Palin

I hear all this talk about what if Senator McCain kicks the bucket and thus, Palin is one heartbeat away from the Presidency but what about Biden?

I think Biden also one heartbeat away from the Presidency....What was wrong with Biden who only got 2% of the Democratic delegates?

I don't know much about Biden other than he hasn't given me any clear cut reason not to like him yet. That's not to say he's not likable, I just haven't been exposed to any of his positions or integrity yet.

To be honest, I haven't given him much thought at all. He is pretty much a non entity since Obama is young, clearly healthy, etc.

I'd be interested to learn more about him but to be honest, I doubt that there is anything he could say at this point that would distract me from how much of a problem I think Palin would cause for this country.

I do remember hearing though that he is a huge supporter of the War on Drugs, Marijuana, etc.

Do you know how many marijuana dealers are locked up in nations prisons on mandatory sentence laws while violent criminals go free. What a weird world we live in....

For that, he gets demerits in my book... But not enough to tip that scale back to McCain and that second coming of W. Bush, Palin..

Palin got more votes to be Governor than Biden did in his whole Pres. bid

But what are the realistic chances of Biden being President and what are the realistic chances of Palin being President..

I think, it is EXTREMELY conceivable that Palin may land in office if McCain is elected.
Biden's chance of becoming Pres because of an Obama health issue is far less.

Biden is a moron in a suit

Biden to guy in wheelchair: "Stand up, come on up here... oh, crap... .uhhhh"

Biden about FDR being on TV ....
Vice presidential candidate Joe Biden is known for making gaffes, and some Democratic insiders are hoping that he won't be making any when millions of people are watching the big debate on Thursday night.

Biden squares off against Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in a long-awaited contest that could draw a larger audience than the big event last Friday night between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain at Ole Miss.

Biden's latest gaffe came up when he was talking about the $700 billion bailout that was supported by a bipartisan group before it failed on the U.S. House floor this week. Biden said that President George W. Bush needed to address the nation in the same way that a famous Democratic president had done more than 75 years ago.

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed,'' Biden told CBS News anchor Katie Couric. "He said, 'Look, here's what happened.' ''

The only problem is that FDR was not the president when the stock market crashed. Herbert Hoover was. The second problem is that television was not widely available during the 1929 market crash, and the dominant means of communication at the time was the radio.

Should be an interesting night. Entertaining for sure.

I have read that the actuarial tables show a 16% chance of McCain dying in his first term, with Palin thus becoming president. That isn't specific to his own personal health issues, just his age and current condition.

Not sure what the chances are of a radical member of an opposing party assasinating either of them, but it is more than 0.

Dying and being unfit to run the country because of health issues is two completely different things.

I have no doubt that with today's technology, save the unexpected catastrophic condition, he could live for a very, very long time.

But does that mean he will have the health to continue being President..

Further, have you seen what being the President for 4-8 years does to a man. Clinton aged 25 years in his two terms.

So ask yourself this.. Lets say McCain doesn't get some form of terminal illness or heart attack, do you think he is healthy enough to survive and thrive for 8 years..

My thought on the matter is, MAYBE... Maybe he can hold his health for nearly a decade... BUT... BUT... BUT...

WHAT IF HE CAN'T ?

Not a gamble I'm willing to take...
