Facts from Fox news!- How is that possible?

AzX5 10-02-2008 12:15 PM

Mr. Foot-in-mouth tell a lie? :bustingup

"When I heard his comments I thought Joe Biden was referring to a bygone era," said Donna Brazile, the former campaign manager for Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign and a prominent African-American political consultant. "Years ago when white folks referred to black people with education they often used words like articulate. To suggest they were different, they were acceptable. That they were OK as compared to rest of African-Americans. So I think it came across that Joe Biden was referring to Sen. Obama as if he was a candidate running in the 1960s, not in the 21st century."

"They are loaded words," Rev. Jesse Jackson told ABC News. "And that's why he should interpret what he meant by those loaded words. It was an attempt I thought to diminish Barack's attributes and dismissive of our previous campaigns that made Barack's candidacy possible."

Jackson said Biden's remarks "could be divisive."

Why Is Media Allowing Joe Biden to Lie About Drunk Driver Killing His First Wife?

Joe Biden has for years claimed that his first wife and his daughter were killed by a "drunk driver" in 1972. However, closer examination of the records proves that the man driving the truck that slammed into the Biden family car was never charged with drunken driving.

He then went on to say that he ''went to law school on a full academic scholarship - the only one in my class to have a full academic scholarship,'' Mr. Biden said. He also said that he ''ended up in the top half'' of his class and won a prize in an international moot court competition. In college, Mr. Biden said in the appearance, he was ''the outstanding student in the political science department'' and ''graduated with three degrees from college.'' Comments on Assertions

In his statement today, Mr. Biden, who attended the Syracuse College of Law and graduated 76th in a class of 85, acknowledged: ''I did not graduate in the top half of my class at law school and my recollection of this was inacurate.''

As for receiving three degrees, Mr. Biden said: ''I graduated from the University of Delaware with a double major in history and political science. My reference to degrees at the Claremont event was intended to refer to these majors - I said 'three' and should have said 'two.' '' Mr. Biden received a single B.A. in history and political science.

Back in 1988 Mr. Biden was running against Michael Dukakis for the Democratic presidential nomination. But then it came to light that Mr. Biden was lifting lines from the speeches of Robert Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey, and others.

Where I come from, folks call that plagiarism. That, along with other previous peccadilloes, drove Biden from the nomination race.

Are you disputing the story? I'm guessing this is news to you because you've been counting on MSNBC for your news and you've yet to see this reported by Oberman and Matthews.

I dispute everything from Fox, and that includes the Business channel as well.

O'bama loves the United States like O.J. loved Nicole.

I tried watching MSNBC once but the headset they sent me was the wrong size. You might want to get yours adjusted.

That is just silly. Sort of like Biden saying climate change was only done by humans. It is fine to question items, but dispute them? Fox News: Today is Friday Your response: No it isn't. :dunno:

You can call it silly, but it doesn't change the fact. Nothing truthful comes out of Fox.

You think in terms of absolutes and I have no doubt that you will absolutely miss out on a lesson or two in life. Consider expanding your world view to include the possibility that everything you think you know might not be what it seems at this time in your life.

Lord knows I've had to reconsider some positions and ideas I've had over the years as I've been exposed to more of life's lessons and my overall life experience.

You can call all the name in the world, and as a Christian, I will not respond in the same kind.
I still do not believe anything factual will ever be reported by Fox news.

Thanks for the kind words. I understand what you mean however I will decline on Fox. There are some things that I cannot accept based on my values- Fox is one of them.

Well I guess we're all screwed, for nothing truthful comes out of CNN and MSNBC either...:(

Dannyell 10-03-2008 11:58 PM

IMO the most honest news will come from foreign countries...because FOX will be flawed one way while NBC the other...
I have a couple of diff. channels and I must say there is a noticeable difference in the way the events are portrayed :)

Quicksilver 10-04-2008 03:26 AM

The last line of your post makes no sense. To say that Fox news will never report anything factual is flat out wrong.
Even if they gave you the weather report for the day and it's correct that would make you wrong.

Just a suggestion........ ;)

Think about what your saying, try to be a bit more circumspect
and be a bit more specific about what you believe Fox News lies about.
Otherwise your opinion won't have much credibility.

As a Christian he can't respond to that Quick

Biden is simply caught in another gaff - CNN and the other liberal media even report that he tends to say things that are either wrong or that he just goes on and on and on.

He and Mr. Obama are on the socialism train. Some of the most fearful words are "good news, we are here from the Federal Government to help". Just because one might not like the last 8 years doesn't mean socialism is the right way to go. Ok, I'll step down off the soap box now, I feel better.

martinbaltes 10-04-2008 09:41 PM

cnbc is the only station i watch.

Quicksilver 10-04-2008 10:18 PM

Christians are suppose to have tough skins.
Besides i didn't call him any names..........Yet...

Thanks for your comments.
I understand what you mean, I believe nothing is absolute in the world we live in.
I am not going to start listing all the inaccuracies in reporting that Fox and other news channels have done. Fox seems to be the extreme case and I stopped watching that channel 5 years ago. Thought the business channel will be any different, but that is equally useless(IMHO).

Once again, thanks for your comments- points well taken.

If I spend all day in front of the pc then you have a point.
Perhaps a little bit of thoughtfulness might not be a bad idea if you get what I mean.
