If the questions are too hot, walk away :)

Barack Obama's campaign killed all interviews with a Florida TV station after Sen. Joe Biden, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, faced tough and critical questions from a reporter at the Orlando station, the Orlando Sentinel reported .

During a satellite video Thursday, WFTV's Barbara West quoted Karl Marx and asked Biden how Obama's comment to "Joe the Plumber," about spreading the wealth wasn't being Marxist.

"Are you joking?," Biden asked.

West replied, "No."
Remember, you can't question the Messiah

Scares the holy freak out of me...
Can people in a modern society want CHANGE so bad that they would choose communism or socialism over what we have now? Those choices don't sound like improvement to me.

More so it is the American Idol syndrome (which I'm sure will be in textbooks in the years to come). As we've seen here multiple times, the Kool-Aid is strong  I think this election is redefining the media. That group collectively has left the "reporting the news" part and gone into the "OpEd" part 110%. Which is sad.

Kool-aid is the correct term, I think.

MrLabGuy 10-26-2008 12:59 PM

Sad truth is it was a smart move. This refusal to take any tough questions won't be widely reported and yet had he done the interview and fumbled it might get SOME air play in the closing days of the election.

If I where his campaign manager I would advise against the interview.

That said...Obama is just another junior politician who was able to successfully convince a bunch of Democratic Sheeple that he was different.

He'll win the election on the backs of the millions of newly registered voters, many of whom don't have any formal education, jobs or a stake in the future of America.

Most people in this country actually do agree with the ideas socialism. They just don't know what socialism is. So the liberal candidates try to introduce the ideas, but stay away from the "S" word, while the conservative candidates do their best to use the "S" word in describing the liberal ideas.

blah blah blah

The point is, you can't walk away from a tough question when you're running for that slot. And Biden...walked away. PM Putin is probably chompin' at the bit for Obama/Biden.

What Biden should have said is "why don't we talk about the merrit of the ideas rather than what label we are going to put on them."
