As expected, it is Barack Obama, which I completely understand. What I don't understand is the portrait they chose to use on the cover. It reminds me of another famous man. It's kinda weird, why couldn't they just use a photograph?

That picture is the iconic symbol of Obama's quest for the presidency.

It's the equivalent of Kennedy's, "Ask not what your country can do for you, etc. etc."
