I'm not an Obama supporter, however, given the other candidate we had to choose from (John M & Sarah "IQ of 0" Palin), I did not have much of a choice.......... |

I really like the very first one, "The Problem with Socialism..." Guess I'd better laugh while I can. The way they're giving money away, even to banks that don't NEED it, we're gonna' run out real fast. |

Pretty funny - we will soon see these show up around D.C. as more people get fed up with the current administration. Guaranteed.
|
We as americans should feel like real estate inverstors buying a run downed forclosed home.
In other words....where we are now came from the previous owner now that we own it, lets make it better. If you want to point your finger....Point it at the past FACTS and not the possible future. |

I really don't know if these were supposed to be funny. But as the other guy said, we didn't have much of a choice in the last election. We all are screwed either way. Wagner, I think there would be a lot more funny signs if the other party got elected, don't you think? Well, we split even votes in our family so we would have nothing to blame.
|
Now that the other shoe is dropping and people are beginning to wake up to what this change is really about they first say there were no good alternative choices. Denial. Grief. Then depression, then resignation and then moving on. People have to process the information and deal with this in their own way.

The beauty of this country is that if we don't like to guy running it, we just don't vote him in 4 yrs. |
Quote:
But to be honest, I really hope Im wrong about our taxes going to be jacked up. If I will be proven wrong in the next 4 years or so, then I would be a happy man. But what if Im right? Oh, and btw...I dont watch the Faux News channel that you are mumbling about. We havent had cable TV for 4 years now ;) |
Quote:

Don't forget about the other taxes to be imposed. Energy taxes for one. All that big government is going to be very expensive.
And we thought Bush was a big spender. Get ready for some really big taxes. Go CHANGE |
Quote:
Change sucks when it is socialist :) Don't worry, in 4 years this experiment will be over, thank GOD. |

Anyways, I did not vote for him this past election, so I dont think I would vote for him im the future.:nanana: About moving to another country, why should I? Did the Dems move to France when Bush was Prez for 8 yrs? NO! They stayed AND criticized the heck out of him! With all forms of media known to man! Now that a Dem is at the White House, we cant express our opinions anymore? We cant criticize him and congress and the senate anymore? And you want me to move to another country so I would shut up? No way man! Im staying here in my beloved country and do what is within my rights to do: express my opinions and support leaders who do the right thing. |

I am willing to bet that if we do nothing and keep following the past 8 yrs of politics we fall and crumble.
|
There are other choices between the same spending from 8 years and new and improved (bigger) spending.
How about less spending? |

Apparently they just can't project the future or remember the past. It is an American-Idol crew man. Obama was in Cali today acting like he was "running" for President. He has done NOTHING..NOTHING yet like a President. He has made near zero decisions, aside from signing bills he doesn't understand. His Treasury secretary keeps telling everyone "in a few weeks I'll have a plan". He has said that a total of 5 weeks running. This will end badly and set a precedent for the US in the future. Late next year was inflation goes through the roof, lets not cry since "we" were all about change and shelling out money to every problem. Thomas Paine wrote a book, people should read it. Though they probably couldn't handle the title. The federal reserve has no ability to do anything now. Interest rates are as low as they can go, and now they Enron'd it. They purchased 1T of T-bills, so the US collectively moved the ball from one hand to the other and told you "it was gone". FYI, it only cost 800B to fight two wars for 8 years and Bush got hammered for that. Not to mention Obama was the 2nd largest recipient of AIG "campaign funds" behind Chris Dodd :) Nice change. Go failure. |
Yep, the “it's not Bush” is pretty thin on logic and reasoning. This will end badly and the pendulum will swing back towards the center, hopefully before permanent damage is done.
Nonetheless, I still like to ask the rhetorical question to friends as well as people on this forum who come from the far left. |
Wagner, he hasn't exactly done nothing up to this point.
He has filled out an NCAA bracket... Duke Coach to Obama: Worry About the Economy, Not NCAA Picks - Presidential Politics | Political News - FOXNews.com and he is keeping up his American-Idol celebrity status by going on Leno... Obama Does 'Tonight Show,' But Can He Strike the Right Tone? - First 100 Days of Presidency - Politics FOXNews.com So I would say he has been pretty busy. |
Quote:
I'm still trying to figure out why idiots are yelling at AIG. They simply acted under the rules of the bailout the CONGRESS gave them :dunno: |

Anyways I need to stop laughing now... And furious? No. Just enjoying a good hearted exchange of ideas with you Pal from Missouri or Chile or wherever. ;) |

Well, gotta love how Obama told Leno tonight that he bowled a 120 something in the White House bowling alley and then referred to it as the "Special Olympics or something". What do you want to bet the media doesn't mention a word about this?
With everything going on right now, Leno made sure to ask him about the dog they are getting and his NCAA bracket. I would love to see this shiz if another candidate would have won. The media must have holes worn in the knees of its pants by know. |
i love the one that says only 14 people missed work. that is fantastic.

Again, Obama fan's always send anyone who doesn't like Obama to the Bush camp.... Talk about uneducated, not sure you should question others backgrounds...you might need to buy a mirror :) Ex 1) how many of your 40+/- posts were in a political forum before you learned it was a political forum  |
Quote:
Since you've not made that clear, other than your utter disapproval for Obama, it's hard to follow you pal. |
Quote:
Wow, how arrogant can you be? Because someone disagrees with you, you question their intelligence, educational background and career choice? You should re-read your own posts before questioning anyone else's education, your writing/grammar skills leave much to be desired. |
Quote:
Oh I forgot, you're completely new. I'm a Libertarian, Bob Barr or Ron Paul would do a FAR better job than Obama. Just look those up. You're ignorant, which is why you assume I'm a Bush fan. Become educated about the individuals and groups your debating, you'll fair far better. Eric, who is the Nike to my Reebok, puts together for the most part solid liberal/socialist arguments which actually take time to respond to. You on the other hand seem to ramble over and over going back to coin phrases that you've heard. Just IMO. Also, what is your definition of Neocon? You drop that phrase in nearly every post. Seems you need to read this: Neoconservatism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia And if you'd like to be an 'independent thinker' as you claim, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxPrULE6dUU&feature=user |
Quote:
I don't understand your attempt at logic. Who would do a better job? Did you not watch the elections? You do realize that Obama ran AGAINST someone don't you? Maybe you can hit google and figure out who Obama detractors might have voted for instead. |
Quote:
And since he questions our educational backgrounds and careers, I guess because he is in "Biotech Sales" makes him better or smarter than the rest of us!:bustingup  |
Quote:
Until you actually learn what forum you are posting in and can come up with words besides neocon and Faux News, you are making yourself look silly, Chile. I never defended Bush. It was time for another President, Obama just wouldn't have been my choice. I love how all Obama supporters are quick to lump anyone who doesn't agree with him in the Bush catagory. Regardless, the media is supposed to be unbiased and if you actually step back and take off the blinders, you will see that in general they really aren't. Obama just went on national TV and made a joke at the expense of handicapped people. So far, I have not heard a word about it. I would love to see how bad they would have ripped apart any other candidate would have won. By the way, you never answered my question about border control. So I guess you think it is right to keep the flood gates open and allow illegal's to stay in the country and suck up tax dollars? |
I have voted Republican and Democratic, Obama is the president of the our country to constantly bash him because he is not a member of your party seems short sighted and shallow.
|
Quote:
I believe we need to secure our borders and set up a "realistic policy to implement" for the illegal already in the country. |

You are obviously very accomplished in your own mind. However, you don't care what other people think or you wouldn't be condesending. Maybe you should start over and restate your point, here in the politics forum which is part of the lounge inside X5world. As I like to tell my liberal friends - "We went from arguebly the worst president in history to THE worst president in history"
