Change we can believe it...

House Panel Approves Obama's $3.6T Budget Plan - Presidential Politics | Political News - FOXNews.com

Quote:

WASHINGTON -- President Obama's allies rallied around his ambitious budget blueprint as he visited the Capitol on Wednesday, and only hours later a House panel endorsed it, pointing the way for major legislation this year on health care, energy and education.

Even so, both the House measure approved by the House Budget Committee on a party-line vote shortly before midnight and a companion Senate plan lack specifics for any of the administration's signature proposals. And Democrats, particularly in the Senate, decided to cut spending and reduce exploding deficits below levels envisioned in the plan Obama presented less than a month ago.
So a middle of the night vote that only Democrats wanted, awesome. Thanks for the debt Obyonecanobie.

Here is what they say...

"President Bush has left President Obama a hard hand to play: an economy in crisis and a budget in deep deficit," said Rep. John Spratt, D-S.C., chairman of the House Budget Committee.

I happen to agree by the way....

However, here is the sucker punch:

"President Obama has responded with a budget that meets the challenge head-on."

The House plan foresees a deficit of $1.2 trillion for 2010 but would cut that to $598 billion after five years. The comparable Senate estimates are $1.2 trillion in 2010 and $508 billion in 2014.

So listen to what they say and pay particular attention to what they do. They don't match.

I'll make the argument again that bigger government (as in more spending) isn't the answer. Getting regulations put in place for the financial market where they are lacking is good.

Watch out for this increasingly huge debt. That's the bottom line for me.
