GOP Chairman Michael Steele "Gay Marriage is bad"

Michael Steele: Gay Marriage Is Bad For Small Businesses

I think the Republicans need a new leader.

What do you expect, he can't do anything without Bob Ehrlich.

But what is the probability of two "broken watches" having the same time?;)

Not sure.

He's a total idiot. Why is it that so many republicans claim to be totally against gays, but there is so much in the news about gay republicans. The images republicans (in real life...not just politics) try to portray is that they are perfect...I think most democrats (in real life, not really politics) are kinda evolving into the, "hey, I'm only human...we all sin at least a little" category.

Reality is, even the God republicans and democrats claims to worship says we all sin, and that no one is perfect. What really scares me is when politicians claim to love God, and most of republicans views are supposedly done in compliance of God's will, but, they judge and express so much hatred for folks their God tells them not to judge, but to love.

Really, who gives a $hit what the next person is doing as long as he/she is not harming anyone else? In the end, if we're all right about this, there is only one judge anyhow (which democrats and republicans both agree) and none of us have a right to play his role of judge.

I think the more important question is: Are you surprised?

Exactly. Also, his point makes no sense when he mentions being responsible for a spouse one never had before, being cost money, etc. Actually, he kinda goes against himself with that point; he was blowing hot air. If anything, it's more inappropriate and unfair to allow gays to have civil unions and for that "boyfriend/girlfriend" to receive benefits on straight "husband/wives" can receive. That seems like even more reason to allow gays to marry and not have civil unions.

Folks are trying so hard to make ridiculous points that they end up making comments that go against their point in the first place. Can't someone just finally speak from their heart and not focus too hard on strategy?

I am surprised by the whole narrow minded thinking of today's Republicans, I remember the days of Ronald Regan and Tip O'Neal when it seemed like the politicians respected each other and tried to work together. We are all Americans why do have such partisan politics?

Seems like "partisan politics" all started with the relentless Witch Hunt during the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal that lead to a man's impeachment. As far as I'm concerned, Bill's infidelity was a private matter between him and Hilary instead of all of the nonsense that wasted so much tax payer money. This seemed to have ignited the the "Holier Than Thou" mentality from the Ultra Conservative Republican party of today.....
