All emotions aside, it was a shakedown. Knowing that no private company in the world would give away that kind of money that easily, I wonder what kind of concession they were given/promissed.

Yeah, that was a dumb thing to say, imo.

They all take money from oil companies though. Obama got over $70k from BP alone in 08, which was the most received from BP that year. The republicans do seem to get more oil donations overall though.

I believe that is about 6B a quarter. They can easily absorb 20B.

Beside cash they already/will have, they'll open a credit line to fund it as necessary. I believe $20B spans over 3 or 4 years.

Yeah, that $6 billion is per quarter. I guess if you make billions and billions year after year, it is probably pretty easy.
