Gerald Celente 10/19/2012
|
Paranoia. And rambling nonsense.
|
Quote:
Oh well, sorry you didn't benefit from any of the info. I will grant you that the interview touched on a lot of content. I have heard Celente previously with sharp cutting clarity. I've found him to be mostly accurate. I think he paints a pretty good big picture, even as paranoid as it may seem. |
Some people may be able to vocalize and/or articulate things that are happening - things that they are concerned about. But when I come across someone who rambles like the person in your video; my feeling is that he MAY have some small part of a clue; but that he is more likely parroting things that he has heard or seen from other sources.
In most cases I would rather hear the original source - that is if the original source itself is not some kind of AssClowns. |
|
The gentleman in the video doesn't come off very well. I looked him up to see who he was, not having seen him before. I am amused when people refer to themselves as a Doctor, and it turns out that it was an honourary doctorate from a university that trains chiropractors and massage therapists. Seems like great background for being a world authority on trends.
While Celente doesn't come across very well, Alex Jones, by way of comparison, comes across as a nutcase. |
Quote:
:bustingup Reverting to ad hominems...interesting. Academia is so compartmentalized that they are experts in their own delusional system. I don't know why he uses his honorary doctorate? I don't really care...judge a man by his fruits. I've found him to be pretty spot on with trends. While I'm sure there are quacks that are practicing massage therapy and chiropractic care...I've seen more damage done with pharmaceutical medicine and the pimps posing as medical doctors. Number one cause of death today...BAD DRUGS dispensed by our medical lords...we call MD's. As for Alex Jones...his delivery isn't refined. He doesn't use a tele-promter. He's probably one of the last real investigative journalists out there with an audience that is reaching millions per week on his daily radio program. I guess being a nut job is paying off for him. While I don't agree with a lot of what he says...I appreciate that there is at least an opposing voice out there. |
[video] Dr. Peter Glidden:
Watch the above for anyone doubting that MD's dispensing bad drugs is the number one cause of death today in the USA! |
Quote:
We haven't seen the food riots, tax rebellions, or growth of survivalism that he predicted would take place from 2010 through 2012. If you predict lots of things, I am sure some of them will come true. |
Quote:
Good point. I'm not saying that the guy is perfect. I've learned that all of this stuff is quite fluid. When it looks like disaster is about to crush you...they save the system and we live another day. I do think that by exposing trends and potential disasters, it can actually help avert a bad situation. It may just extend the time line before such disaster strikes. I think many people today are suggesting that it won't be a lack of food on the shelves...but the cost of food that will cause rioting. I don't know. Suffice it to say that things are not peachy. We have issues and it's good to hear or subject ourselves to something other than mainstream media. |
No old philosopher here, and not a doom expert, but I have been reading/hearing this kind of rant for most of my 6 1/2 decades on our little planet...it has especially ramped up the past few years.
Not a Pollyanna and not saying those kinds of apocalyptic/chaotic things can't or will not happen, but I don't need that line of guesses/predictions to warn me. I don't find anything 'new' or close to a revelation in his stuff... GL, mD |

motordavid, I've only been on this planet for 49 1/2 years. But, really only started to question the actions of TPTB after the '08 crisis. I've been in finance for 25 years and have placed too much trust in what we're told is all in our best interest when it comes to monetary control and other areas where our lives are influenced by "their" decisions/actions. In my quest for information, I've been exposed to the likes of Celente. I find him entertaining in some of the same ways that people love Jim Cramer on CNBC. Celente was a client at MF Global and supposedly lost 6 figures in that debacle...which he calls a criminal act. When the MF Global situation unfolded...it became clear that customer segregated accounts were now on the table for the vultures to invade...whether mistakenly or not. I know that if I were to invade one or all of my clients accounts...I'd be put in jail/prison in a NY minute. These are serious issues. I'm glad you're way ahead in this game. Sounds like you've already gained critical thinking with regard to how our world works. Kudos to you! I'm still learning and feel like I've got a lot of catching up to do! Maybe there are others like me that have gleaned a thing or two from the videos I've posted. I hope so. |

Alex Jones' Piers Morgan Rant: Radio Host Unleashes Explosive Pro-Gun Tirade (VIDEO) |
Quote:
Awwww...did you feel bad for poor Piers? That guy is a total DB...how about this one: Piers Morgan Blows Up on Larry Pratt Over Gun Rights - 12/18/2012 - YouTube Yeah, I'd much rather have A.J. on my team than P.M. I like this link better for the A.J. rant: » Alex Jones to Piers Morgan: “You Are NOT Going to Take Our Guns” Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind! Or, this one: » Alex Jones: Best Night of Television Ever Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind! And there's this: » Piers Morgan, Friend of Drone Assassin Obama, Calls Alex Jones “Scary” Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind! |
I like this one better. When alternative news sites such as Films for Action won't include any Alex Jones information, you know he has lost a lot of credibility. Interesting in that they give all their reasons. This isn't mainstream media shutting him down, this is the very club he aspires to be part of. Pretty telling. Perhaps being a nut job, to borrow a quote from one of his supporters, isn't paying off for him any longer.

Don't give them away for a bag of magic beans." I am assuming that you're an American and reside in America, is that correct? Take up the cause bro if you have better ideas. |
Quote:
I would make it an accessory to murder charge if anyone was killed. Third, I would [delete - make the [add - put a] tax on weapons at least equal to the cost of the weapon so that those who want "a cop in every school" can pay for it through their purchases. Fourth, I would probably make self loading illegal and micro print (if possible) the serial number of the gun that the ammunition was purchased for onto the ammo, and then sit back and see if this helps curb the gun violence. As to how I defend myself, I guess I would have to say, (1) with my brain, (2) if needed, with my fists, (3) if possible, with my feet or gas pedal, (4) if no choice, then with my GLOCK. See the difference between you and me is that I believe there are alternatives to arming any and everything that moves. For you, this seems to be the first, last, and only solution. |
Quote:
Ummm, so how will you deal with gang confiscation? Tax them, create more laws...make them only carry etched weapons or bullets? Unreal. Yeah, sit back and watch the sheep get sheared. The blood will be on your hands and hands like you that want to penalize law abiding citizens. Will we also need to "qualify" to be able to use hammers, knives, rocks, clubs, bats, etc? I'm surprised that there's absolutely NO mention of having a gun free Govt. I mean, if you want to stop innocent killings...shouldn't govt start with themselves? No, the difference between me and you...I'd like less govt and you want MORE...MUCH MORE. More prisons, more taxes and MORE LAWS. Guess you'll need some Brown Shirts to enforce your plan too, huh! Yeah, we know how this ends. So, you never answered my question. Do you live in America and are you a citizen of the USA? |
Quote:
But I will say, in keeping to the subject... What I presented are "off the top of my head" suggestions. They might work, they might need further work, or they might need a third party to modify them and come up with a better angle - including how to deal with gangs. But at least they are ideas. You can dismiss them if you like as unreal, but that just goes to show AGAIN that you have a limited thought on this subject. The only solution you seem to promote is MORE GUNS. I am against that. Brownshirts? I think I see now why it is that you like this fellow who rants uncontrollably. |
Quote:
Oh no, I'm not dismissing your ideas as unreal...it just goes to show how much you must love big govt. Let's bring them into every facet of our lives...that should make for a much better world, huh? You just seem to be a contradiction from what you think off the "top of your head" and your signature. But, I'm the one that's got the problem?! OK, if you say so...;) |
Quote:
What makes you think I am in anyway in favor of big government? Was it because I listed points that I would take to deal with the gun issue? Did you forget that I made those points - not because I believe in big G, but because you ASKED me what my ideas for curbing gun violence were? Don't you understand what ideas "off the top of the head" mean, or have you never been required in your life to THINK about things and make suggestions? Does expanding one segment of rules mean that we can't contract others? BTW, what is it you want ? Cities with 5 million people in them and no rules? How long do you think that society will last? Or is it just that we need to have only the rules that you favor? And what about anything I have posted is in contradiction to my sig? To what was I referring when I wrote that sig? What is it's context? What is it's meaning? How does wanting to regulate and tax and keeping weapons out of the hands of nutjobs contradict with my sig? You haven't a clue have you? Like so many things that you don't know you just fill in the blanks with whatever is floating in your head and start arguing from your own imaginary points, not about anything that was actually said. It seemed to me that Piers was having a reasonable discussion - as I said - minus the name calling. The other guy just rants without any point other than "I want." "I want." "I want." With no other substance - you do remember that my comment was about the videos and not about the constitution - or are you too deep into your own talking points? You know when I think about all the people in this world who definitely should not have a gun, both you and this Alex Jones certainly jump to the top of the list now. I believe there should be some standard of ability to reason and debate without straying from facts and reality in order to own a gun. Seems to me you both fail when it come to that test. |
Quote:
I will say this...as this is MY THREAD...and was ORIGINALLY about Gerald Celente and not Alex Jones...the only reason I find your thoughts contradictory is because you are limiting peoples RIGHTS with your thoughts about creating limitations on gun ownership. I find you to be quite judgmental for someone that wants to protect "Rights" above all else...not even trade them for "magic beans" Again, no mention of real issues facing citizens of the USA...gangs, abortions, pharmaceuticals, suicide, knives, hammers, clubs, etc. It's just guns...I just find it odd that it's just guns that outrage you to the point that you're looking to pick a fight on a thread that wasn't even about GUNS.:bustingup And, I'm the one with the problem? Why did you decide to post your diatribe on this thread??? Why not the one that was about "Gun Control"? Seems odd to me. Well, maybe not if I'm correct that you're looking for a fight and needed to throw your ad hominems directly at me. What did I piss you off in another thread? Did I somehow make you feel insecure about yourself? Again, why this thread? I think it's pretty clear that you are not from the REPUBLIC:bustingup You must have some other form of tyranny that you're concerned about. Your signature doesn't jive with what a PATRIOT of the REPUBLIC would stand for with regards to protecting peoples "Rights". I ASSUMED that you might have been a PATRIOT of the REPUBLIC...that's obviously NOT the case.;) You're the person from "various":bustingup But seriously, best wishes in your life and may you and your loved ones be kept safe from harm...and I'm not being sarcastic. In the end, most of us are just humans that were made in Gods image trying to figure out what all this means and how to protect our loved ones from tyrannical/evil forces that would prefer to enslave us. Now, go ahead and tell me what a bad person I am and how I shouldn't own a gun.:bustingup |
Quote:
(1)As to why I commented in this thread, Yes, this thread started with you promoting Gerald Celente. I commented that it was non-sense. YOU then switched to state that you actually favored Alex Jones. I later came across an Alex Jones rant and commented on that. If you don't want people's opinions maybe you shouldn't start threads. My DIATRIBE (4)as you so wrongly use the word wasn't at all, it was a critique of someone YOU mentioned in your thread. (5)I commented earlier in this thread that this guy was "Paranoia. And rambling nonsense." There was no theme to this thread other than his nonsensical rambling - at least that is where it started. If you want to have a discussion about other issues, then I think you should post them and see who responds. If it is one huge mish-mash of everything some paranoid wants to mention in a video, then I have no interest. Why did I bring up guns and try to pick a fight on that one issue? My insecurity about myself? I am not from the REPUBLIC! CAN YOU HEAR YOURSELF? (6)Again, read what you wrote. I got onto the subject of guns while commenting on the contents of the videos posted by both you and I. YOU THEN WANTED TO KNOW HOW I WOULD HANDLE THE GUN ISSUE - I responded to your question. And this whole thing about the republic - wow! I think you should go back and read this thread from top to bottom. Maybe you will see what was really being discussed and at what times. I am not sure what to say to you at this point. You have no consistency of thought, you are like that Celente fellow rambling from one paranoid subject to another. You bring up issues and then get upset at others for disagreeing or "trying to start a fight." I don't think you are a bad person - maybe confused. I am sorry if this thread got you bent out of shape. If you prefer, I will be happy to drop it. |
I just want to know how controlling hammer ownership is going to reduce mass murders.
And I am waiting for a comment from the OP on Alex Jones and why alternative news sources have started to delisted him for, as they say, presenting ideas "that are buried under so many wild claims, tabloid style rhetoric, fear-mongering, and misleading conclusions that sifting the valid points from the misinformation would take more time than most folks have the patience for." Upon reflection, I can understand why perhaps that style would appeal to the OP. |
Boo hooo. Mean ole A.J. is just too brash for the TRULY DOMESTICATED types.:bustingup
Google DEMOCIDE...it's gone parabolic:thumbup: I'd say, mission accomplished...but to the TRULY DOMESTICATED...it was harsh to see him hold court on a BS cable show. CNN...so fake, you'd almost believe it's real! :bustingup |

Well, all this talk about A.J. has me itching to go ahead and throw more vids on this thread.
This one has Doug Hagmann with A.J. Doug has inside info from a Homeland agent that A.J. was under surveillance while in NY. Quite interesting to hear what's going on. All those that can stomach A.J. will be fine with the content. Those who don't like brash, obnoxious and loud people...would be best to not watch. WARNING...you are about to enter the Alex Jones show if you click the link below. Do not click this link if you are overly domesticated...it will upset you. Do not click the link if brash, loud or obnoxious people upset you. Do not click the link if you don't believe anything A.J. says, as it will just frustrate you and cause you grief. For all others...it's really kind of scary to think this is happening in the USA... Obama's Red List: Alex Jones was Under Gov't Surveillance in NY! - YouTube |
No chance of subjecting myself to an Alex Jones video, but just for laughs I went and read Hagmann's site.
"They are coming for your guns", "The plan to destroy Israel", "The Islamic Threat", "Obama's Social Security Card is a Fake", and lots of references to big government, tyranny, the constitution, coverups, more tyranny, communists, the elite, and so on. It all sounds very familiar. ;) |
WTF is a common phrase of astonishment, same as what the hell or even "holey-moley." Some might argue that it is vulgar. It is meant to express incredulity at a happening or in response to something wild and crazy. It is not a personal attack.
F'ck Off however is a phrase hurled directly at a person in order to implore him or her to go away and leave you alone. It is the antithesis of the purpose for a discussion forum and especially for one in which politics is discussed. All participants being aware that things discussed are always touchy subjects. If you can't stand the heat... stay out of the forum. |

Ha, I've never even been to Hagmann's website. So, that's all he's about? I'll have to look for myself. Somehow, I bet there's a little more to his "story" website than you give credit for!:D BTW, those topics you mentioned are big deals...for those that care about the Constitution, tyranny, communists, gun confiscation, etc. |

Also, you are implying that only people who buy in to your beliefs care about the constitution. You are painting with a pretty broad brush there. What is it like to believe that you are the only one in the room that is right? |

Why would you say that? I'm not implying anything:rolleyes: What is like to be a troll that follows me around baiting everything I post or type? JCL...I think it's time to just be done with you too. I'm so disappointed JCL, I figured you would've had some kind of argument? Nope, I think you like to just follow me around and post your dissatisfaction with the content or me.;) JCL, do you have an obsession with me? Should I be concerned with how much attention you give to my posts and my threads? Starting to seem a bit unhealthy don't you think? |
Quote:
You said that those that care about the constitution consider communism and tyranny a big deal. That is what I characterized as your belief system. Let's say I don't care about communism (because it is not an issue) or tyranny (because dead English kings aren't a threat, and your guns won't help you with the economic tyranny you are already subject to). Your argument is that, therefore, I don't care about the constitution. It is exactly what you implied. And then you ask why I would say that. You even roll your eyes to imply that it is a ridiculous conclusion. Can you not follow your own points? Your reasoning capability appears to be very limited if you can't understand that something you said a few lines earlier, restated, is the same thing. The above wasn't even the question in the post. |

I didn't say what you wrote above. I said "BTW, those topics you mentioned are big deals...for those that care about the Constitution, tyranny, communists, gun confiscation, etc." It's all inclusive. That each one of those topics in of itself is a big deal. You've attempted to pull another one of your manipulation tricks and twist or turn what I wrote. The color that you painted Hagmann with your "broad brush stroke" implies he's another conspiracy theorist... ""They are coming for your guns", "The plan to destroy Israel", "The Islamic Threat", "Obama's Social Security Card is a Fake", and lots of references to big government, tyranny, the constitution, coverups, more tyranny, communists, the elite, and so on. It all sounds very familiar." Right, it all sounds very familiar...another "nut job", "conspiracy theorist", right? You said this in post #6 "While Celente doesn't come across very well, Alex Jones, by way of comparison, comes across as a nutcase." You are on the attack...with practically everything I say or when I post content. You're attempting to manipulate what I say and it's meaning. Shouldn't you ask for clarification before belittling me when you say "What is it like to believe that you are the only one in the room that is right?" This obviously implies that I'm delusional. Seems like it's OK when you imply something and yet...even when I don't make an implication...I get attacked personally. JCL, I truly don't mind the negative comments on the subjects I post...it's when it becomes a personal attack that I want to lash back. Sadly, I have reverted to some ad hominems. I'm not proud of that...but a human can only take so much personal abuse. You and blktoptrvl made this about anything but the original content of what Celente said in the interview. I'm asking you nicely to stop writing your sniping remarks about me personally. This is supposed to be a forum for entertainment...not personal bashings. Also, there's actually some content that might be posted just for some info...which is why this thread was started. Either stay away from me and my threads or learn to stop with the personal attacks and make it about the content. |
Quote:
No, I get what you were saying. You made this about personalities from the get go instead of the content of what was said in the interview. I was then baited much later when you posted the A.J. rant...which then set you off on a mission to discredit me personally. Yes, I did call into question your signature statement and the seeming contradiction of the stance you're taking with gun control. You're right, I don't know what your signature means. I don't think it's a stretch though to ASSUME that it might be about individual rights. And those rights are not to be given up on a whim or the promise of magic beans. I could draw an analogy here with the 2nd Amendment and the promise of "magic beans". But, I won't. Yes, I did call into question if you were from the Republic...if you're not, then maybe the rights written about in your signature are from a different perspective than from someone from the Republic. It was really a question of where are you coming from with your perspective on "rights"?! I've learned that there are many truths in the this life...it all depends on your perspective! Anyway, peace. This entire thread turned into a nasty character attack and I'm sorry for participating on any level! |
For any who might be interested, this was my sig at the time of this thread... I am considering changing it.

The core question was about appearing to have a lock on certain beliefs. That sounded like moral superiority. It is like the claims that if one doesn't support a particular position, one isn't an American, or is a socialist, or is a communist. If you followed the logic perhaps you wouldn't feel the need to bang your head against a brick wall. |

And yet this continues? You stated the following in POST #37 " No chance of subjecting myself to an Alex Jones video, but just for laughs I went and read Hagmann's site. "They are coming for your guns", "The plan to destroy Israel", "The Islamic Threat", "Obama's Social Security Card is a Fake", and lots of references to big government, tyranny, the constitution, coverups, more tyranny, communists, the elite, and so on. You belittled the positions on his site that you visited for "laughs" and found..."The Islamic Thread", Obama's Social Security Card is a Fake", "big Government", "tyranny", "the constitution", "coverups", "more tyranny", "communists", "the elite", "and so on". "It all sounds very familiar." Implies crazy psycho conspiracy stuff. Those topics are a big deal to those who care about them. I'm not implying moral high ground with the statement or anything else...just that each and every topic is a big deal to those that care about them. If someone doesn't care about the Constitution..it's probably not a big deal to them. If someone doesn't care about tyranny, it's probably not a big deal to them. If someone doesn't care about Obama's social security card...it's probably not a big deal to them. If someone doesn't care about cover ups...it's probably not a big deal to them. If someone doesn't care about communists...it's probably not a big deal to them. If someone doesn't care about big Govt....it's probably not a big deal to them. Those seeking information about the topics you list as conspiracies...are nonetheless important topics to other people who may wish to make a big deal out of them. NO JUDGEMENT FROM ME If anyone is being judgmental or trying to appear like you're standing on moral high ground...it's you! You consistently judge what is real truth and what it conspiracy, nonsense, etc. I have just one question for you JCL...is there ever more than one truth? |
Quote:
In logic, no. Some of your frustration above appears to originate in this area. At the spiritual level, of course. At the philosophical level, yes. I think some of the amusement about Alex Jones and his ilk is how he takes facts and constructs a narrative to make it appear that there are two truths when in fact the second "truth" is dependent on accepting his artificial construct. All IMO, and off the top of my head. |
Quote:
But when you construct a narrative that always includes them, presented in a particular way, and without much regard for the facts, then yes, it all sounds very familiar. The narrative, that is. I don't think I called it "crazy psycho conspiracy stuff" though, that was your phrase. But that is part of the narrative too, that there is an "us" and a "them" . |
