Techno - noticed you also have C2S - how do you find it? what would you jump to next if you stayed in the Porsche path i.e. later model series II C2S, turbo (they are getting cheaper), or new 991? (or perhaps holding off to see how next M3 looks/runs/priced?)

Funny you should mention that, i spent a long time last night on carsales looking at 997.1 Turbos, they have come down in price a lot recently.

I am pretty happy with my 997.1 911S, for the money (approx $100k) it is a great value proposition. I am not sure that the Turbo of the same year is worth another $70k+

Yep - can understand that

There's a few 997.1 TT in Melbourne with around 60k for $160k - probably could talk price down a bit ..

Otherwise I'll just wait until 997.2 C2S's with PDK drop a little more based on the 991's taking effect .. I am starting to see this happen with FY 08/09 version ..

in the meantime its great to hear that you are enjoying it !!

Davewatson - how did your test on an E53 go? I'm in Sydney and would be interested in getting some coding done.? Do you have aist of what functions are available?

Hi mate,

Yeah its definitely do-able - I had to purchase soem software to do it, but successfully managed it.

Its been a while since I did it, and have actually sold my 4.8is since then.. I can probably dig up the name of the s/w if you'd like?

That would be great if you could. Is there any risk of screwing it up and the car being disabled?

Hi Ninja, I have all the bits to code my car....
Any advice on how to code a TCU with Bluetooth for a 2001 X5?
I have tried via DIS and the 'retrofit' get rejected....
I think I need to change the ZCS/VO....
