lpg-ing my E53 4.4

Howdy guys. I've just found you all 3 days ago and joined up this morning. It looks like a great place to get advice.

I'm looking at buying a 2001 X5 4.4 in the mid $teens, cheapo, and converting to lpg. I've read a bit about the ability of the engine to handle it and it looks good. I've also read about premium vs std unleaded, go premium. Made a list of wreckers and parts dealers and scoured the net for the right car for me. 4 options, $ 13,500 to $16,000 with km's 144,000 to 200,000, both here and interstate.

I found AG Autogas in Lilydale and I'm waiting on a quote n a sequential gas injection system.

So my main question today is, has anyone got anything to say about lpg for the X5 4.4 or anything else for this novice.

I'm coming from a 96 falcon wagon on gas with 420,000 on the clock, yes I know... I'm a car lover and have not respected my passion, until now.

Thanks, Jas

P.S. I live on the Mornington Peninsular, south of Melbourne
