The reason I would never take up the "kind" offer of buying the domain x5drivers is that under no circumstances I would give into blackmail and extortion.

As others have stated, it was a free information centre, place for banter and organising UK based meets. Unfortunately, the site admin obviously made this mistake and therefore we are in the position we are in now.

The moderators had invested a lot of time and energy in keeping the site running, and we will continue to do so once we are back up and running. With a new site back, we should be able to PM all existing members to notify them that the site is back and we should be able to move on from there.

As far as The Godfather is concerned, I can only express my disappointment that a fellow forum member would do such a thing, then again I gave up being surprised as how low people can get. Never mind, there is such a thing as karma ...
