He bought the domain and set the forum up and looked after all administration of the site.

My part was to moderate the site get it busy also try to get members and the rest is history. Everything ticked along just fine until last Sunday. I put my trust in him to administer the site and have no idea what has happened. When the site first went down I tried to make contact to find out, I only hope everything is ok with him as it all seems so out of character and still want to give him the benefit of doubt I never for one minute thought that anyone would buy the domain I guess I was bit naive.

aw8 and pvr are members of the site that I invited to help moderate the forum as I was conscious that 1 administrator and 1 moderator was not enough for the size of the site.

Now you can all debate as to what has went wrong who done what etc etc, but what I have told you is the truth no hidden agenda.

Scottie, if you don't mind me asking, do you or the owner make any significant monetary compensation for setting up and running/operating the site? Do you have ANY sponsors, google adsense etc on your site?

If the answer to these questions is NO. Then the domain name is yours for face value, and you can do what you want with it. I understand you may not want to use it, but it is a good way to close this case.

Perhaps we should wait for the return of your partner admin/owner to see what went wrong in the first place, before any transactions are made.

Hopefully your website files are still intact. Often the ISP keeps them for a VERY LIMITED TIME even if no backups were manually created by the site admin.
