The missus also wants to take it sometimes, so roof is not an option as I'll be paying for body shop repairs everytime she goes out.

The best is the tow bar, but it's just silly money for me, so I bought a crappy generic one from Halfords today for £60, will try it out this afternoon see how long it takes to fit, should be interesting (Sanj you around)
