Transfer case is a specific BMW fluid since you have an x-drive model. It only holds around one litre, search for the exact amount.
Differentials are 75w-90, not limited slip.

Thanks JCL for the info, I guessed as much with the crankcase oil, all of my searches said refer to manufacturer, so I'll go to BMW to experience another rip off session. Cheers.

Transfer case, not crankcase. Crankcase is engine oil
