Auto Hold Feature...
Its definitely the system detecting no driver in the driver's seat. I have done this on numerous occasions. I would have the "Auto Hold" feature on while in traffic, reach for an item in the back...

hollow noise
got the same noise on my 08... 18inch run flats... Constant speeds with cruise control while climbling a hill also... You have to really listen for it though... I know the sound your talking about...

done things in this x5 that I wouldn't even dream about doing in my 2004 gmc envoy. Totally different class anyway. This x5 handles corners at high speeds like crazy... Got mine up to about 140 mph-...

Knocking noise fixed...
Went to dealer on the 3rd... They kept it over night... The problem was the locking mechanism on the rear hatch, it was loose. They replaced it. No more noise--- not one little peep, nothing. Noise...

knocking noise...
I had to get be 08 with the knocking noise in the rear hatch area!!!!! Bringing it in to the tech tomorrow. Dealer says it maybe the rear hatch lock... I had it since the first week in December and...

hollow noise...
got the same hollow noise on my 08 standard tires... 20-60mph sounds about right. Sounds like the road bumps are making some sort of vibration in the tire. Maybe its the run flat tires...
