I have an 09 X5 and have had no issues with my Valentine one.
This is the 3rd generation of X5 I've had with the V1 and I've never had a problem.

Found this by accident trying to pull the ashtray out.
If you pull on the cigarette holder in the ashtray the circular piece will pop out.
This frees up a little more space in the ashtray.

Use a flat head screw driver to slowly bend the clips inward.
I did this a few months back when I swapped my grill out.
This will pop the entire grill out.
Once you do one the second is very easy.

Auxillary Input Setting Issue.

I listen almost exclusively to my Ipod through the AUX Input jack.
My issue is, I get out of the car, come back and it's defaulted to the radio.
All my other BMWs retained the last audio source...

They did have the part listed for the Mesh, though it's referred to as a "Grid".
Here are the part numbers in case anyone else may be interested.

I've found the part numbers for the Titanium Kidney Grills but can't seem to find the part number for the Titanium Mesh.
Anyone know the number?
